Engineered to Explore™

ARETHUSA watches are developed using rendering software, 3D simulation, and ultra-modern manufacturing equipment. Our prototyping process includes in-house 3D printing for rapid design validation. Each individual component in an ARETHUSA timepiece has been designed, engineered, and evaluated to optimize both form and function. Every design choice is carefully weighed with our customers front of mind.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

Every ARETHUSA timepiece is 100% designed, tested, inspected, and fulfilled in our Hartford, CT workshop. Built in 1912 and located in the Parkville Industrial Historic District, the plant was home to Gray's Mfg. who produced telephone and audio equipment here through the 1970s. Now home to ARETHUSA, the storied building is the perfect setting in which to design character-filled timepieces.

PROFESSIONALLY ENGINEERED

01.  CONCEPT

All ARETHUSA watches are timekeeping instruments optimized for travel and are designed to evoke the spirit of exploration. At the conceptual stage, we identify a type of exploration to express through design. In the case of the World Diver, we considered the needs of the globetrotting recreational diver while visiting dive locations around the world.

02. DESIGN

This is the core of who we are as a company, and where the greatest investment of time lies. We iterate designs quickly via prototyping with 3D printing, allowing us to validate our concepts and bring more to our watches in a shorter development cycle.

03. MANUFACTURING

We work with manufacturing partners who have expertly produced watch components for decades. Our cases are CNC milled from solid billet 316L stainless steel and thoroughly tested to ensure reliable performance on any adventure.
