Welcome to ARETHUSA
Thank you for purchasing an ARETHUSA timepiece!
ARETHUSA watches are designed to be a reliable time-keeping companion on all your future travels, adventures, and expeditions. To that end, proper care and use are essential to the longevity of your watch and its internal mechanisms. The quick-start guide below highlights features breif care and time-setting instructions so you can explore with confidence!
Out of the Box
If your ARETHUSA timepiece was supplied with a stainless steel bracelet, link removal may be required to ensure a proper fit to your wrist size:
-
Before you begin, estimate the number of links you will need to remove for a proper fit. Remember that fine adjustments can be made after link removal using the micro adjustment holes in the clasp.
-
Using the supplied spring bar tool, separate the clasp from the bracelet.
-
Using the supplied screwdriver, remove the screws from the extra links. Store extra links and screws carefully.
-
Reattach the half link to the bracelet using the screws and reconnect clasp using the spring bar.
Note: It is recommended that once proper bracelet adjustment has been found, the screws be removed and reinstalled using Loctite® Threadlocker Blue 242® or similar.
Setting the Time & Date
All ARETHUSA timepieces are mechanical. This means there is no battery and the watch is powered by a mainspring. To wind the main-spring, shake your watch or wind it manually using the first crown position.
Once running, to adjust the time setting:
-
Unscrew the crown (counter-clockwise)
-
Pull the crown to position 3.
-
Turn the crown until the desired time is set.
-
Press the crown in to position 1 and screw down fully.
Note: Quick-setting of the date is done in the same manner as time setting, however for date adjustment use crown position 2. Never use the quick-set date when the hands are displaying time between 21:00 and 4:00 as this can cause a malfunction.
